We were lucky enough to get an opportunity to visit Our Lady’s Home (Shelter Home for boys) on the 18th of December during the Christmas season.
The children in the classes were busy studying. When we entered, there were smiles on their faces, as we began singing Christmas carols, they too joined in and it was a moment to cherish.Food hampers were distributed to the children. We learned that one can find joy in the happiness of others.
Seeing the children smile and happy truly made our day.
A few of our children also visited the Salvation Army which is a home to the blind children. We learnt that we should always be grateful and thankful to God for all the blessings he has bestowed on us.
A visit to this place surely made us a bit empathetic and compassionate for the underprivileged and the needy one and surely as we grow in life we will keep ourselves attached to such organizations and volunteer in as many activities possible.
It is said “not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love”.
