27th July 2020
Honouring Our Parents For All Their Love And Support.
26th July is celebrated as the Feast of St. Joachim and St. Anne, the parents of our dear Mother Mary. Their love for one another and for Mary, the mother of Jesus is an example to us of how God calls us to live. They also remind us to honour our own parents and grandparents and to thank them for the blessings they have passed down to us in love. We also celebrate this day as National Parents’ Day so that we can honour our parents too.
Parents play a vital role in the lives of children. They serve as role models and we look up to them for guidance. Throughout our lives, our parents lead us to be independent thinking individuals.
To mark this day, a short assembly was conducted virtually for the parents of our students on Monday, 27th July 2020. The assembly brought out the value of love, respect and obedience towards our parents. The children were actively involved with the assembly from the comfort of their homes.
Parents were happy to be besides their children for the assembly. Later, children presented handmade cards to their parents. Parents were touched by this gesture.
