Day 1
3rd July – Std 8 – Students go on a Nature Trail.
To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles.” – Mary Davis.
With an aim to create awareness among the children about tree plantation and to indulge in the beauty of nature, a nature trail was organised for the students of class 8th on 3rd July, 2023. The Principal Sr Josefina and the teachers of the Science club along with the students went to the Aarey forest area and Aarey Vasundhara (an eco-village) in Goregaon. The members of WWH( We Will Help – an NGO) guided the students through this Nature trail and also enriched them with knowledge of various types of medicinal plants and trees in this area. Children thoroughly enjoyed walking in the forest. They also captured each and every moment in their camera for the Nature Photography Competition which was also conducted
Day 2
4th July – Std 7 – Students participate in Tree Plantation and Poster Making
Plant a tree today for a better tomorrow.
On Tuesday, 4th July 2023, the students of Std.7 had a Tree Plantation drive and Poster Making Competition. Our young nature lovers planted saplings in pots made of plastic bottles. They also made posters on the theme -Save Environment.
Day 3
5th July – Std 6 – Planting of Rose saplings.
The students of Std 6 enthusiastically planted Rose saplings in pots.
A fun-filled activity was conducted where students created artistic designs from fallen leaves, twigs and seeds. Students used their creativity and art to show forms of Nature.
It was truly amazing to see Nature’s Beauty arise out of the waste from trees!
Day 4
6th July – Std 5 – Nature themed Fancy dress
In an earnest attempt to lend a green touch to the school environment and sensitize the students about their role in conserving nature, a fancy dress was organised for the students of Std 5th . Students were dressed well in nature themed costumes. This fancy dress was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests.
4th – 7th July – Std 9th & Std 10 students deliver speeches on the need to preserve the Environment and Street Play Theme to “Save The Earth’.
The students expressed their views eloquently on various environment issues like global warming and the role of the youth in environmental issues at the school assembly. They also took up the task of putting up Name plates for the trees in the school campus. This will give all the students an opportunity to know the common name, scientific name and the various uses of the trees that they see around them at school.
The students of Std 9th put up Street play with a theme “SAVE THE EARTH” was put up during the lunch break in the school compound to create awareness among the students about the dire need of preserving the environment by reducing the use of plastic and growing more trees.
