*Marathi Elocution Competition: A Celebration of Language and Confidence*
On the 23rd of July, the Marathi Elocution Competition took center stage, featuring talented participants from std 9 and 10. These students showcased their expertise in the Marathi language through heartfelt speeches on meaningful topics. The competition saw all participants deliver their speeches with brilliant expressions and immense confidence, making it a memorable event.
The primary aim of this competition was to build students’ confidence in public speaking and to instill a deep love for the Marathi language. Each participant’s performance was outstanding, making the judging process extremely challenging. Ultimately, St Luke (Green) emerged victorious, securing 1st place. St Mark (Blue) and St John (Yellow) both earned 2nd place, followed by St Matthew (Red), who placed 3rd.
This competition was a valuable opportunity for participants to showcase their oratory skills and deepen their understanding of the Marathi language. The audience left with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and richness of Marathi.As eloquently put by renowned Marathi writer P. L. Deshpande, “Language is the dress of thought,” this event truly dressed our students’ thoughts in the elegant garb of the Marathi language.
