Advent Prayer Service: A Celebration of Joy and Hope.
On 17th December, the Advent Prayer Service was conducted in the senior school hall, with Catholic students from Std 5 to 9 coming together in a spirit of devotion and reflection.
The service centered around the theme of joy, marking the Third Sunday of Advent. Sr. Greenal lit the pink candle on the Advent wreath, known as the Shepherds’ Candle. This candle symbolizes the joy experienced by the shepherds when they received the angel’s message of Christ’s birth and worshipped the newborn Messiah.
Prayers of the faithful were offered, seeking joy, peace, and hope for the world. The concluding prayers encouraged students to reflect on God’s promises fulfilled through the birth of Jesus and to recognize His blessings during the Advent season.
The prayer service ended with a moving hymn, inspiring students to carry the joy of Christ into their daily lives and to spread His light to others.
