On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, India celebrated the Amrit Bharat Mahotsav
9″ August – 17th August, variety of activities were carried out to celebrate 75 years of Independent India at St Agnes High School, Byculla. These activities were organised at the school level under the programs Swarajya Mahotsav!

Group National Anthem – On 17th August the Group National Anthem was successfully conducted,
Har Ghar Tiranga From 11-17 August 2022 the students of St. Agnes high School hoisted the tricolour in then houses as a mark of respect and to celebrate the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga initiative
Prabhat Pheri -On 15 th August the students of St Agnes High School participated in The scout guide RSP movement. On 12th August Prabhat Pheri was organised in school and the students participated by calling out slogans Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘Vande Mataram. With the help of the teachers the Prabhat Pheri was taken out on the streets of Clare Road with children carrying the tricolour in hand along with placards of Independence Day quotes
Competitions – Various competitions were organised by teachers during 11-17 th August. Students actively participated in Essay Competition, Elocution, painting, Rangoli & singing after which they were rewarded certificates.
Unsung heroes – During class hours students were shown videos through which they got information about unsung heroes who participated in the freedom struggle.
Cultural program – On 15th August a cultural was organised at st Agnes High School which included folk dance, speeches in English and Marathi and patriotic group singing. The chief guest for the flag hoisting event was Inspector Mano Kumar and Santosh Peesal
Logo of Aazadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav – From 11-17″ August the logo of Aazadi ka Amrut Mahotsav banner was displayed on the school building.
Cleanliness in school campus – Between 9th – 17th August St Agnes High School Conducted the cleanliness drive where the students participated with great enthusiasm
Heritage site visit -On 11 August the students of std 10 were shown videos about our historical events eg: movement of the Earth, formation of land forms and cities, occurence of Seasons
Ill effects of the use of mobile phones -The students of std 9 at St Agnes High School were given a talk about the Ill effects of the use of mobile phones. Students were made aware about online frauds, blackmailing, financial frauds and impact on their health because of the excessive use of the mobile phone.
Save the environment -The students took an oath in order to conserve the environment as it is the need of the hour . They promised not to use plastic or harm the environment but would nuture nature and plant more trees.
Tree Plantation – Various medicinal plants, flowers and fruit trees were planted in the school premises according to each class. The students were given the responsibility of not only planting, the trees, it regularly. but had to take care of it regularly.
Message of a freedom fighter – On 15th August 2022. Dr. G.G Parikh a veteran freedom fighter and Social activist gave the students an online message about India’s freedom struggle.
