Building Digital Guardians.
The coronavirus pandemic has led to an unprecedented rise in screen time. With schools shut, many students are now taking classes which is the need of the hour as well as socializing more online. Spending more time on virtual platforms can leave children vulnerable to potentially harmful and violent content as well as expose them to a greater risk of cyberbullying.
Keeping this in mind, our school took the initiative to arrange a virtual session for the parents of Std: VIII to X on safeguarding children in the online space. Ms. Manisha, from the Ahaan Foundation was the speaker for the same.
Parents were made aware of the potential risks involved and urged to take urgent measures to mitigate these risks and ensure that children’s online experiences are safe and positive during this pandemic.
Our Principal, Sr. Flory thanked Sr. Margaret and Ms. Manisha for the inspiring, informative and educative session which was an eye opener to one and all. Sister also thanked the parents for attending the session in large numbers.
