*Celebrating 78 Years of Independence with Patriotic Fervor at St. Agnes High School*

On August 15th, St. Agnes High School proudly celebrated the 78th Independence Day of our nation with an outpouring of patriotic fervor. The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Muhammad Akram Shaikh, along with Dr. Ishrat Akram Shaikh, Sr. Greenal, and Supervisor Ms. Vanessa, who accompanied them to the flag post.

The celebration commenced with a solemn prayer service, setting a reflective tone for the day. The spirit of patriotism was brought to life by our melodious choir, whose songs resonated with the pride and unity that Independence Day symbolizes.

A powerful street play depicted the various challenges our country faces and highlighted the importance of unity and collective action in overcoming them. The cultural fusion dance that followed showcased the rich diversity of India’s states, further enhancing the spirit of togetherness.

Aastha Kasulwar delivered an insightful speech in Marathi on the significance of Independence, while Ms. Shreeya Jaitapkar spoke passionately on the pressing issue of freedom from drugs. Both speeches left a lasting impact on the audience.

Our Chief Guest, Dr. Shaikh, praised the students and teachers for organizing such a meaningful celebration. He reminded us all of the sacrifices made by our ancestors and urged the students to contribute positively to the nation’s progress.

As we reflect on this day, let us remember the words of Mahatma Gandhi:

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
