20th November 2019.
There is no trust more sacred than the one, the world holds with children. There is no duty more important than ensuring that the rights of children are respected, that their welfare is protected, that their lives are free from fear and want and that they can grow in peace.
Children being the future of our nation, it is essential to protect them from mental and physical violence, injustice, negligence, abuse and other threats.
Child Rights Day is celebrated every year on 20th November to create an awareness among children worldwide and to improve children’s welfare.
On this occasion, a special assembly was held in our school. Through a PowerPoint Presentation, children were briefed on the history of how this day came into existence. They were also made aware of their rights.
Later, our Principal, Sr. Flory, made children realize that while enjoying their rights, they also need to keep in mind their responsibilities and carry them out to the best of their ability.
