FANCY DRESS COMPETITION
19th July 2019.
A Fancy Dress Competition was held on 19th July 2019 for the students of Std: V and VI.
The purpose of conducting this competition was to blend learning with fun and also to develop confidence in children by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of an audience.
The judges for the competition were Ms. Archana Magar and Ms. Jasmina D’Cunha. Ms. Josephine introduced the judges.
Children came dressed in colourful costumes and spoke on the character they depicted.
Students of Std: V were dressed elegantly as Fruits. They spoke of its vitamin contents and the nutritional value in them.
Students of Std: VI came dressed as Freedom Fighters and famous Indian Personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Laxmi Bai, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Bhagat Singh etc and impressed the audience with their inspirational speeches.
Our Principal, Sr. Flory and Ms. Archana through their speeches made children aware that competition is not about winning or losing; it is more about the spirit of participation, the spirit of learning and the spirit of sportsmanship.
