*Outreach Program: Shepherd’s Home*

On Thursday, 25th July 2024, St. Agnes High School organized a heartwarming outreach program at Shepherd’s Home to celebrate Grandparents Day. This initiative provided students with a unique opportunity to engage with elderly women, fostering a sense of generosity and social responsibility.

The preparation for the outreach program was bolstered by the generous contributions of daily necessities from u the students of Standard 9. Upon arrival, the students began the event with a brief introduction and a prayer, led by one of their peers. This was followed by the singing of hymns, setting a serene and respectful tone for the visit.

Throughout the day, students interacted with the elderly women, singing old songs, dancing, and playing games. These activities created a joyful and engaging atmosphere, bringing smiles to the residents of Shepherd’s Home. The interaction not only entertained the elderly women but also imparted valuable life lessons and meaningful experiences to the students.

Reflecting on the day, one can truly appreciate the words of Albert Schweitzer: “The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others.” This outreach program exemplified this sentiment, instilling gratitude and respect for the elderly in the hearts of our students.
