Rendezvous with Nature at Aarey Vasundhara – Field Trips for Std 5th to 8th
The students of Standard 5, 6, 7 and 8 embarked on an exciting field trip to Aarey Vasundhara in Goregaon on 6th October, 2023, 9th October, 2023, 10th October, 2023 and 11th October, 2023 respectively.
The day began with a captivating nature trail, where students were immersed in the lush green surroundings of Aarey Vasundhara. Guided by knowledgeable naturalists, they discovered the diverse flora and fauna from vibrant butterflies to the melodious chirping of birds. One of the highlights of the trip was the hands-on experience of Warli painting. The NGO that hosted the visit graciously provided each student with a clay pot to be transformed into a work of art. This activity not only honed their artistic skills but also introduced them to the rich culture of the Warli tribe.
In an engaging and interactive session, students had the opportunity to play the “Web of Life” game. This educational game allowed students to understand the delicate balance of ecosystems and how various species are interconnected. It was a fun way to grasp the importance of conservation and the impact of human activities on the environment.
As the educational trip came to an end, students returned back with not only beautifully painted pots with Warli art but also with a deeper appreciation for nature and it’s diversity. The field trip to Aarey Vasundhara in Goregaon was a remarkable educational experience that will be cherished by the students of Standard 5 to standard 8. It reinforced the importance of environmental conservation and cultural preservation, leaving an indelible mark on their young minds.
