On the 21st of November, 2022, St. Agnes’ High School, organized the 56th Annual Athletic Meet Mr. and Mrs. De’Souza, the parents of our head girl Ms. Shanaika De’ Souza were the Chief Guests for the Day. Our Principal Rev. Sr. Laila D’Souza welcomed our Chief Guests with a Bouquet of flowers.
The day began with the March Past a highly competitive event, where the four houses eyed for the first place.
After a quick inspection, the squads marched in unison as cheers went up from the audience.
The oath was taken, pledges were made and the races began immediately after the March Past.
The athletes were agile and swift. Medals were distributed and new talents were noticed. The stands resounded with cheers as the displays commenced.
The games organised for the helpers, parents and Ex-Students saw an impressive participation.
St. Mark was adjudged the Best House in the March Past while St. Luke won the trophy for the best house of the meet.
The best All-Rounder and the fastest athlete (Seniors) of the meet was Saanjh Patil.
The Chief Guest, Mr. De Souza addressed the audience, laying emphasis on the need to imbibe qualities of discipline, sportsmanship spirit and to never be disappointed by failure in life. He congratulated the winners as well as all the participants as it is the journey that is important.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the head girl Shanaika De Souza. The whole gathering with immense pride sung the National Anthem.
It was a day filled with great enthusiasm, sportsmanship and memories to cherish.
