29th November 2021.
Advent is the period of four Sundays and weeks before Christmas. Advent means ‘Coming‘ in Latin. This is the coming of Jesus into the world. Christians use the four Sundays and weeks of Advent to prepare and remember the real meaning of Christmas.
The Advent season is a beautiful reminder to prepare our hearts as we prepare our homes — to celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus! At the start of this week, the first of the four candles in the Advent wreath: the candle of Hope, also known as the Prophecy Candle is lit.
Keeping in mind the First Week of Advent, a short assembly was conducted for the students on 29th November 2021.
Through the assembly children were made aware of the significance of the Christmas Wreath which is circular in shape, reminding us that God has no beginning and no end.
